Do I need to rejet/remap my bike after upgrading my Exhaust System?

YES! Hacker Custom Exhaust offers some of the very best performing exhaust on the market today. More power equals more fuel needed, so we offer our (AMS) EFI fuel control module for nearly all the exhaust systems that we carry. Our AMS which stands for Anger Management System lets you plug and play to re-map your bike for proper air/fuel mixture. We now have tuning guides which are available direct from us or go to our AMS page. We offer a great discount package price if you purchase the AMS with a set of our pipes, making this one of the best performance packages at a very cost effective price. All bikes with carbs will need to be rejetted, please contact us for any jetting questions. All air cooled high performance engines need to have the Air/Fuel mixture set to approx 13.5 - 13.7 to 1. It is the dealers, or installers responsibility, to make sure that engines are set to this air/fuel mixture.

We use the very best in chrome and ceramics, (One Year Warranty even on ceramics, IF our AMS tuner is used!) our chrome is Double nickel plated then Chrome plated, Our ceramics are 40 percent thicker than other coaters provide... however... failure to do proper jetting or remapping will cause exhaust pipe discoloration and bubbling on chrome. Ceramic finishes may discolor or even burn off, which is not covered under warranty (please see our warranty page), we do not cover neglect, misuse or environmental damages. What if I want something custom built?

Just let us know what you want and we can build it, however custom built pipes take longer to design and more man hours to build, so they cost more and during the peak season it may take several months depending upon backlog.

Can I place an order other than by web site?

You bet, just give us a call at 831-338-6590 or direct sales at 831-338-2904. We accept Visa, Master Card,Discover Card and personal checks.

How are my shipping charges calculated?

We get a discount when we ship and we are able to pass that discount on to our customers. We currently use FED EX ground for most orders.

Can I exchange an unused product if I have ordered the wrong item?

Yes you can. However all returns have to have an RAN (return authorization number), CLEARLY marked on the box, if not, we will not accept returns without it. Wrap it up carefully, we have to receive it in NEW cond, send it back and we will exchange it for the proper item. No returns after 30 days. Any returns are subject to a 20 percent restock fee

FYI: Hacker Custom Exhaust Warranties our finishes (Chrome & ceramics) for a one Year period from date of purchase, plus we give a lifetime warranty for workmanship...IF our AMS fuel control module is used for bikes with EFI. We do not warranty any of our exhaust systems if our AMS is not used...we do NOT cover, neglect, misuse or environmental damages... Almost all remaps are way too lean for our high performance exhaust, this causes excessive heat and damage to the finishes. Our warranty covers all installs, as long as they are properly installed!

What is your return policy on warranty items?

We use a RAN System (Return Authorization Number)which is a common practice for most companies. Contact Customer Service at customerservice@hackercustomexhaust.com . We can email you the RAN Form or FAX it to you which you will need to fill out and return to us before proceeding with the return. If you have ordered through a dealer, they must go through the same process. If you have ordered direct from us, keep your receipt. You will need it for proper return. NOTE: There is a 20 percent re stocking charge for all returns. No returns will be authorized after 30 days, and all returns and exchanges must have an RAN form filled out. All returns will be inspected and any damage will be the responsibility of the purchaser, there are no returns or refunds on custom order exhaust, this includes custom order heatshields, or non standard finishes. Any cancellation of on an order that has already been billed with or without a shipping tracking number is subject to a 20% re-stock fee.
